The ISSA skipper logbook will help you record the experience.

A logbook is a personal book of a skipper or yachtsman. It notes the time, place, sailing conditions and miles traveled. Logbook confirms that you have yachting experience - primarily charter companies or associations that issue rights to different categories.

A logbook is an optional document, but can often be useful - for example, for a novice skipper (at least the first 10-15 years), in difficult areas for sailing, or to rent an expensive yacht. In all these cases, the charter may request confirmation of your experience in addition to the rights.
