Lithium-ion battery and charger
The HX-400E comes complete with a very capacious 2300 mAh lithium-ion battery providing connectivity for approximately 17 hours.
There is no need to worry about the time it will take the full FNB-115Li battery charging cycle because the HX400E comes with a quick 3-hour charger.
Sea and private channels
The HX400E is factory programmed for all international maritime channels, US and Canada, and NOAA weather channels. In addition, it has the ability to program any 40 private channels in the range 134 - 174 MHz with CTCSS or DCS (programming available from a Standard Horizon dealer)

Built-in microphone with noise reduction and built-in encoder
The HX400E meets the expectations of clear voice transmission in an environment threatened by noise and wind thanks to the built-in microphone with noise reduction.
No additional voice encoder is required for encrypted conversations because the HX-400E is factory-equipped. The internal encryptor is compatible with 4 code encoders for VHF mobile and VHF Standard Horizon handheld radios.
Audio speaker
The HX400E is designed so that the signal can be heard in even the loudest environments - a 700 mW internal speaker is used.
Speaker microphone socket
An optional microphone speaker or headset will satisfy your need for comfortable communication.
Programmable channel names
HX-400E has factory-programmed marine channels with a description of use (16 - Distress, 71 - Pleasure). The channel name can be changed by the user and adapted to his needs and preferences.
Programmed scanning, priority scanning, double observation
Scanning is not a problem for the HX400E. The radio can be set to scan any number of channels with or without a priority channel, or simply set a scan between the priority channel and any other channel (Dual Watch).
